Here you can see the example of Eisfeld-Rottenbach Inner German Border Memorialhow I implemented my interior design concept for an exhibition. From design to execution. Finally, my network team of creative people (Thomas Mayer from classicconcept Elaine & Heiko from genialesdesign) was involved in the implementation. The focus of the exhibition is the connection of the "small border traffic" during GDR times on the former German-German border. Eisfeld is in Thuringia and Rottenbach in Bavaria. Here the FRG and the GDR separated until November 9th, 1989 in the form of an indescribably cruel border system. With it the cultures on both sides. The exhibition shows pictures and tells stories - from "over here and over there". I was able to win some contemporary witnesses for this, who left their information to me. In cooperation with the Museum Eisfeld, the museum director, Mr. Haine, I received further information from contemporary witnesses and photographs. From a box full of pictures, the notes of a former Federal Border Guard, witnesses who only reported to me orally, and some relics from the Eisfeld Museum, I then designed the exhibition. It is a visit to a museum with lots of interactive elements and an installation in the basement where you can experience the feeling of escaping across this inaccessible border. The color concept reflects the contrasts. Green and red - two complementary opposing colors in the color wheel. They symbolize the apparently opposing worlds. The showcases and display boards designed by me encourage playful exploration with all your senses. The border tower is located on the A73 at the Eisfeld Süd exit directly in front of the petrol station / motorway yard and is open daily. It's worth a visit!
